I build Content Management System Websites (CMS) using Open Source softwares (GPL/GNU licence) as a freelancer. I work on a FreeBSD operating system, Apache server (PHP / mySQL) on my Web development station. The production cost of a site goes to the graphic artist (optional) and to the code modification of the CMS that I forge to suit the client's needs. I also offer a hosting service to my clients on a server based in the U.S.

CMS softwares give you the ability to update your site and articles as easily as writing an email. User can sign-up and become members of your site, adminstrators have a backend section with features to easily manage its content, features and more. Possibilities are infinite; community builder, Webstore (eCommerce), photo and video albums created withing seconds, forum, guestbook, file system, online magazine and newspaper with different authors, publisher etc.
